A Strange Guest

Over the years, we have had many strange things wash up on our shores. From mermaids to
whales, but this item pretty much tops them all. It is a 6ft tall Lego man, with a t-shirt with the slogan "No Real Than You Are" painted on the front and some words written in Dutch, with a fetching pair of red trousers.

It was discovered by Peter McNiven on a beach in Brighton as he was on his way to work on Wednesday 29th October. Mr McNiven said: "I just happened to stumble across him on Wednesday morning. I took a couple of pictures because it's not something you see every day. There's a lot of talk about him coming over from Holland to here, but there's no tide marks on him."

In August 2007 a giant Lego man, bearing a close resemblance to the Brighton figure, mysteriously appeared on Zandvoort beach in Holland. Neither of these Lego men have any explanation of how they got there.

The blue and yellow figure was pulled out of the sea and bore the same slogan "No Real Than You Are".
